The Rawson family

From Marshall

Why I'm Running

Florida is changing—and not for the better.

As a farmer, business owner, and father of five, I see it happening every day. The land we love is disappearing. Families are being squeezed by rising taxes and overregulation. And the values that built our communities are being pushed aside.

I'm running because I refuse to sit back while the Florida we know and love is sold off, overbuilt, and governed by out-of-touch politicians.

I'm running to:

  • Protect our farmland and rural communities from overdevelopment
  • Put Florida families first—not bureaucrats or special interests
  • Defend life, the Second Amendment, and our constitutional rights
  • Stand up to the radical left and protect our heritage and values
  • Secure our border and keep our communities safe

I've already taken these fights head-on—from defending our communities and values here at home to serving on the Texas border.

Now I'm ready to take that fight to Tallahassee.

About the Candidate

Meet Marshall

Marshall and Megan Rawson The Rawson family

Marshall Clayton Rawson lives in Hampton, Florida and operates Free State Growers, a multi-county agricultural business in North Florida with a deep commitment to Florida's rural communities.

Marshall has served as a Washington aide to Georgia Congressman Paul Broun (rated the most conservative Congressman at the time), as a legal assistant to Secretary of State Cord Byrd, and as a legal intern for the Florida Department of Agriculture. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2023 with a focus on corporate and land use law.

A committed civic leader, Marshall has served as Chairman of the Greater Melrose Republican Liberty Caucus and North Florida Regional Director of the Republican Liberty Caucus. He is a member of Florida Citrus Mutual and Fresh From Florida and has been active with the NRA, Florida Farm Bureau, and Young Americans for Liberty.

Marshall currently serves as an officer in the Florida Guard and is the only candidate in this race who has been deployed and served on the Texas border to fight illegal immigration.

Marshall and his wife Megan have been married for over 8 years and have 5 children. They are members of Grace Life Baptist Church in Lake City.

The Issues

Where I Stand

Marshall on the Texas border overlooking the Rio Grande

Secure the Border

Deployed and served on the Texas border as a member of the Florida Guard, fighting to stop illegal immigration firsthand.

Marshall is the only candidate in this race who has been deployed and served on the Texas border to fight illegal immigration.

Rural North Florida

Protect Rural Florida

Fought to preserve farmland and green spaces against overdevelopment threatening Florida. Rawson has presented in front of county commissions, P&Z boards, and to organizations all across North Florida. As a farmer, Marshall works everyday with other farmers and landowners across the district.

Florida loses massive amounts of farmland and wild Florida every day. Marshall is fighting to stop it.

North Florida agriculture

Lower Property Taxes

Stood against excessive local tax increases impacting working families and small businesses. Marshall has personally fought county governments that precipitously raise taxes on hardworking Floridians.

Marshall has a track record of fighting to lower your taxes—not just talking about it.

The Rawson family opposing Amendment 4

Defend Life

Actively opposed out-of-state funded efforts to weaken protections for the unborn. Marshall and his family stood up against Amendment 4, fighting to protect Florida's pro-life values.

Marshall defended the right to life against out-of-state funded constitutional amendments.

Marshall at a Republican event

Defend the Second Amendment

Championed Second Amendment rights and fought unconstitutional restrictions at the state and university level. As an officer in the Florida Guard and lifelong gun owner, Marshall knows these rights aren't negotiable.

Marshall has forwarded your Second Amendment rights against compromised legislatures and universities.

Limit Government Spending

Consistently pushed back against wasteful government expansion and taxpayer-funded overreach. As a business owner, Marshall knows that every dollar the government wastes is a dollar taken from Florida families.

Marshall will fight wasteful spending in Tallahassee the same way he's fought it locally.

Defending Our Heritage

Defending our cultural heritage against attacks from the radical left and spineless politicians. Marshall defended the Ten Commandments monument against the American Atheists at the Bradford County Courthouse and has fought to preserve Confederate veterans monuments all across North Florida.

Marshall stands up for our honorable heritage and rich history.
